The Hat. Got a Dipped pastrami sandwich. It was good but i wish the bread was maybe double dipped or more soggy/greasy with the sauce. The chilli cheese fries were good as well. One serving is plenty for two people. Its a really big portion...

Split Complementary...

Went to LAMOCA w/ the lady for the Tim Burton exhibit. Went on a Tuesday and the show was still jam packed with fans. Got there and had an hour to kill so we grabbed some korean taco/burrito from  a food truck. Went tot he show and spent about a lil over an hour there. The show was awesome! There were several big open spaced rooms although seemed small at times with the crowds. Early to new sketches adorned the walls and figurines and costumes were displayed through ought the venue. There was a blacklight room and an early movie projected and played on the wall. There was not enough time to see everything and take the time to read the captions but for the most part I definitely enjoyed the exhibit. Outside of the exhibit by the entrance was a majestic deer bush sculpted by non other than Edward Scissor Hands himself...In the open area outside of the venue were 12 cast iron sculpted animal heads to represent the Chinese Zodiac...

Got to visit the Tar Pit. The water would bubble every now and then and it did smell like tar but overall kinda disappointing haha...

Directly in front of the new entrance to LACMA on Wilshire Boulevard is Chris Burden's Urban Light , an orderly, multi-tiered installation of 202 antique cast-iron lampposts from various cities in and around the Los Angeles area. The lamp posts are functional, turn on in the evening, and are powered by solar panels on the roof of the Grand Entrance.  Here is a side view...

Heres a video a fan made of all of Tim Burtons major movie projects...

Perishable Skills...

Spider season in full effect. Found out that a non hazardous way to kill spider is to directly spray windex on them. The will day off in a day or two. This is good info especially if u have kids around and for urself too. You dont want to have ur kids, urself, guests rubbing against things like patio furniture that u have sprayed poison on. So use windex as an alternative...

Only noticed this when i zoomed in on the photo in photoshop. But i guess the nostrils on ducks are constructed in a way that u can see through them to the other side. Interesting how evolution combined a hard nose to be the top half of a mouth (beak)...

Advance To The Next Level In The Game...

Here we go again. Fil Am Fest 2011. I dont know why this happens but most of the time when i get a chance to paint live at an event i always try things ive never done before. It puts a lot of unnecessary pressure on me because i am experimenting and often times am unsatisfied with the result. And the fact that it is in front of a crowd of strangers /peers makes it more of a challenge. I understand the value of pushing/challenging ones self and being able to perform in uncomfortable situations but i like to showcase my best at the time if people are going to see it. Anyway here is my piece, this lil umbrella weilding girl. I should have outlined the hair, done a better job on the eyes, made the hands better and filled the umbrella with a more intricate fill...
