Frenkinstein...

Finally got to go to a CrossFit Sun work out session to check out what they do and to get some vid and flicks. The work out was insane! They did "burpees" which are the lay down put legs out then do a push up and then get up and do a pull up. And they clean lifted some barbells. For like 25minutes straight. I got pumped up just from watching. Heres the vid i made of the painting process and the workout session...

Chili cookoff in Northpark. They have a ceramic class studio. They then sell off some chili bowls that the students make and u get to try all the chili contestants work. There was maybe about 30+ diff chilis w/ styles ranging from best meat to best vegetarian and they also had cornbread. Totally worth the $10 for a chili bowl...

Chop Soo-ey food truck. Didn't try it but i was diggin the graphics...

MustStash booth. Hand crafted figures. Really liked her work a lot. The girl copped a Pop Tart christmas decoration...

1st eggtimer pano mechanism didnt work out well so i built another one. Hopefully this one will work...

Ok i figured it out...I had my page set on edit HTML rather than Compose..womp womp..Anyway i picked up the 1st volume of Osamu Tezuka's Buddha. This series has been on my amazon wish list for years now. I found them at bookoff in Claremont. Think ill pick up a new issue once a month. Tezuka is considered one of the fore fathers of Japanese Manga. I've read his Phoenix series and am familiar and in love w/ his detailed black and white drawings, his basic cartoon characters that can convey emotion w/ simple eyes and expressions, and his panning from scene to scene technique that he uses w/ scenery. Looking fwd to the next issue...

Borders had their annual 50% coupon sale and so i copped another book off my amazon wishlist. Essex County. Really got me to thinking about aging and being old and how so many people in a small county can be inter connected in many ways...

I dont know whats going on w/ this blogspot but now when i upload flicks it comes out as code rather than the pic b4 i post them..and so i dont know what pic it is or where the breaks are to write about the pics. So here is a pic of a chicken sitting ontop of a dog. Then there are pics of the Art is War show that i partook in. It was a live instalation art show that Myself Gustafo and JT took a part in. Gustafo dug up a tree in his own backyard the morning of and we formed the team and idea the day of. We got blown out of competition but actually got 3rd out of 4...

SanRio's 50th Anniversary. Hit up LA to check out the show. Was located inside of an airplane hanger and included a ferris wheel, miniature golf and a bunch of carnivalish games...

I really liked how they included some lowbrow/steet artists to put up art work dedicated to sanrio characters. It gave me something to be excited about while the lady got to shop and look at everything else. Good times...
