This Is Like A Flashback...

This guy was as big as my hand which isnt saying much cause i gots me some small hands but its big non the less. He would stretch out a limb, then shimmy a little and the move..thats how he moved across this cars window without loosing grip..it was quite interesting...

Startled by this BIG ASS Widow. It retreated back into a hole as u see here. I got to see how big it was when it crawled back. As i was taking the pictures i could see its mouth appendeges and what i thought to be its eyes move. I didnt want it to jump on me although very unlikely so i settled with some not so macro shots. Peep its oiled slick body. Crazy....

The homey Phate from Taiwan got down on a leagle beagle for a store. He rocked his usual phunk style/fill and even hit me up. Hope to link up soon...

Nature, Animals, Humankind...

I will be watching the movie African Cats with the Lady tonight to take in some earth day festivities...

I also would  really like to start watching this discovery channel series Human Planet...

Also came across this movie Earthlings and am interested in watching this. Although it is very graphic and i don't really like seeing videos of animals being butchered sometimes u need to see these things to wake up and shock you into knowing whats really going on you can click on the link above (highlighted Earthlings) to watch the full movie...

I remember seeing a post on this project a while back and thought i would have liked to submitted a video of my day maybe painting or something. Then i forgot about it and bow it is all done. Life In A Day...

We're Awesome...

I'm working on a series of Koi fish for some prints. I decided to show the progress of the making of one. This video shows the development from sketch to vector graphics through illustrator. I thought it was going to be a quick basic Koi fish just to show the whole process. But from the beginning of the vectoring process i felt i couldn't go half assed. This design is made up of 1,012 paths.

Now Im Waiting To Start...

Spring is here...

Flexible Love...

Had a day out in the sun w/ the lady. Hit up Con Pane Rustic Breads & Cafe for lunch. I got the roast beef sandwich and she got the Turkey Cob. Hers had avocado, bacon, sundried tomatoes, lettuce and some strong ass cheese. Mine was just roast beef, mayonnaise, goat cheese and lettuce and red onions. I liked the Turkey Cob except for the heavily strong cheese after taste. The roast beef was delicious. We shared a cinnamon roll...

We then set off towards La Jolla for some Geocaching. We both forgot that it being a beautiful sunny SATURDAY that everyone would be headed to the beaches so we got caught up in mad traffic. Our 1st cache search took place ontop of Mt Soledad. We couldnt find it b/c there was a lot of bushwacking on a steep hill involved. So we headed towards La Jolla Cove...

Some Live painting. Looks really good...

This cache took us on a trail in La Jolla that ive never been on b4. There are some great views on the way. The cache is an ammo box and the people who made/registered it camouflaged it really well. Looks like mud and woodchips but it blended in well under a bush...

There were some interesting itmes within. What u do is if u take an item u must leave on. I just like to leave stickers in them. This one had some crayons so i used one to hit up the inside of the box...

We then went towards children's pool where the seals are for the next cache. Sadly people are using the beach to actually swim in so the seals were driven away. Anyway, this cache is a nano (small container) cache. It is actually a 35mm canister w/ a seal picture on the cap and some pelicans flying on the side of the cache. Theres no room for knick nacks for this one, just a sign in log...

PHas A Purpose...

Peeped this Kid Art Show w/ the lady. It was surprisingly the place to be for kid artists. The place was crowded w/ kids laughing and chasing each other all over the place. The art was refreshing to look at as well. So free spirited...

I Believe It All To Be True...

Came across a Southern Alligator Lizard. These guys are huge. He froze stiff when i spotted him and i was able to grab a few flicks. The closer i got i could see his eyball move a little bit then he decided to bounce and scurried off with the quickness. Heard these guy's bites hurt. The pattern on him looks like a pixelated swatch poster.

A noose made out of an electrical cord. This place is pretty hard to come by so i can only imagine how long it would be for someone to discover a body if someone was to have dcided to follow through. I think it would scar me tremendously if i were the unlucky chap to do so...

Article in the LA Times. Apparently 5Guys (which is good eats) are fronting on In-N-Outs territory. The article doesnt really say anything substantial. Just that they are competing for the same demographic customer group and that 5Guys are going to have 200 locations in socal alone while In-N-Out has about 200 total. I like 5 Guys better b/c there is  better variety of toppings to choose from and their fries stay warm longer than In-N-Out's do. On another note Hodads finally opened up their Downtown location...

Tgi's version of the Black and Tan called the Electric something. Its Guiness w/ Blue Moon. They mixed pretty well together but wish the drink would have been more cold and stayed cold longer...

Time Slips Like a Banana Peel...

Can't believe it has been 4 years since the beginnings of THE Dope Show.  I've had a lot of great times w/ these people i have met and the greatest reward is to be able to see the progression a lot of them have made. Local artist Shay Davis premiered his documentary last friday entitled Shayvision. Before the debut though there were also other short films featured. The Dope Show was asked to submit any vids/flicks to make a video out of. I submitted a measly 3 clips and should have submitted a lot more cause i have a grip of video but was holding out to save them for another project. Anyway the following is what they were able to come up w/. Its a fast paced conglomeration of random videos from past shows. I think its pretty well done for the amount of time they had to edit which was not much. Enjoy, Four Years in Four Minutes...
