Another Day @ The Beach

Went to Torrey Pines beach again w/ Santos, Cruz, Melanie & Joey. This time the waves were small and the water was still incredibly warm. I decided to try out my snorkeling mask. When i got out the very 1st thing i saw when i dunked my face into the water was a small sting ray swimming away. After that i saw plenty of little fish and a baby sand shark. I told Melanie that she could take pictures w/ my cameras while we were out and the following sepia pics were taken by her. I never messed w/ the color configurations on my camera yet and i think these shots are amazing.

Finally got a hold of Ai and Ps and finally finished a design. I still plan on encircling this by a crest of some sort.

8hrs of Nothing Downtown

ok...So i get a call yesterday from a homie saying that he has a really easy art opportunity for me to just go downtown to paint some circles w/ spray paint. I then proceed to get a contact number and call the guy to see whats up. So he told me to go to the WonderHaus downtown @ 10 to get more details and see whats up. So I couldnt sleep last night and i had to wake up early to take my dad to the airport @ 6am. So i take him to the airport, come home, snooz a lil and head dt and get there promptly @ 10 cause thats how i roll. So ive never been there and when i go inside am amazed in how HUGE the venue is. Its the old Wonderbread factory and is laid out in brick stone walls. So i get there and talk to the directors and all and realize the size of the production. What is going on is that this mega church "The Rock Church" is putting out a DVD for newcomers to the church. And their pastor that is preeching in the DVD is a former charger/chaplain and an overall really nice guy. I look around and see some ridiculous equipment. Straight up hollywood style. They have big ass cranes and expensive cameras, tons of shades and diff lights. I am overwhelmed by the size of this production. And then the Pastor "Miles" tells me that millions of people are going to see the dvd. They show me my spot and there are 3 foam brick wall boards about 10 by 20'. And all i have to do is paint 3 circles.  Haha easy enough for some exposure. So they tell me they are running behind scheduale and will shoot me @ 3. 3 rolls by and then they said 45 more mins.. and hour goes by and then they said go get something to eat and come back. I do so and then they tell me @ 6pm they wont get to it and if i can come back next monday. So i spent 8 hrs doin nothing. But i enjoyed myself cause i felt like it was a behind the scenes holloywood deal and got to see how much work is put into such a project. Peep the flicks

Im sure i can get the job done in one try and then see if they can compensate me w/ the remainding fake brick panals. Then i can paint them myself as pieces and keep one for my future house and maybe sell or slang them to homies.

On the floor of the entrance they have embeded into the floor a dozen or so manhole covers. This one dates back to 1909. They even had one from spring valley, coranado, poway and even vegas

Bee Crazy

Another good day @ work...Had some make your own tacos and packed mine w/ beef and pork. Every now and then we get swarms of bees that like to make my work their residency as well. Although they have been taken care of this is the result of bees hard @ work for 2 weeks. The hole was even covered for a good portion of the 2 weeks and only like 1 bee can exit and enter @ a time. If i had flicked this b4 the exterminator got to them i most def would have tried to bite the honeycomb..

Kids always make the coolest things. This one kide put some trucks on a snowboard and uses it as a long board. I have no idea what this is but i thought it was pretty cool.

Sketchy Waves

Homie Arest150 gave me some letters in my bk to work on my blending...It was very difficult to blend due to the constant breeze. Took forever but was fun. I hope i didn't butcher his style too much. Afterwards I went to Torrey Pines beach and got thrashed about by the waves. I was out for a while but had to go in when i felt my left foot was going to cramp up. While drying off we saw a pod of dolphins in the distance. I consistently see dolphins @ Torrey Pines beach. I can't wait to try out snorkeling now.

Coraline

Watched Tim Burton's Coraline in 3D!!! @ Roy's...I was really tired from ballin for a couple hours b4 hand so it was hard trying to stay awake. I think 3D is perfect for Burton's claymation. He is supposed to be coming out w/ Alice in Wonderland next w/ Johnny Depp so im looking forward to that now even more

hell-icopter

This is what people were woken up to @ 8 in the morning..lasted for about an hour..kinda cool how the helicopter had to land back onto a trailer to be towed out.

Picnic and OB

Annual picnic at work...there is construction goin on at the elementary school..this helecopter was trailered and was flying in ac units to the rooftop for about an hour. We got at least 15 calls complaining about it. Ill post a vid later

The Beach

Went to Torrey Pines w/ Cruz and Santos. The water was too cold for me so i went to take pictures.

Went to OB Pier to go fish at midnight. Didint get home until 4 in the morning. Dude next to us kept on catching lobsters and mr Carpio caught  a baby Leopard Shark. I swear i had a few bites but didnt catch anything. I did hook myself on on my hand. That was not cool

My cat caught another gopher and brought it in the house. This was a big one. Looks a lot like hamsters

In one day i hit up Mitsuwa w/ Dren and Alissa to get Ramen, Then UTC mall, Then went to Toda Sushi for Anne's going to Guam dinner, and then we cont the party at TGI's...

They hooked it up w/ a free roll and two stuffed jalepeno poppers, and they also didnt charge us for two of the large beers! The waitress also smashed a glass of water right in front of Dren and I.

The next morning which is today i went to DZ Akins w/ Elmer to grab some lunch. A lil Jewish Deli/Bakery thats located in La Mesa

I wanted to get the Philly lunch special but decided to get the Conrdbeef Pastrami swiss sandwich...When i got it i was overwhelmed by the mass amounts of meats but after eating it the meats were actually relatively light and was not hard to eat at all..That sandwich is Money! Oh and the potato salad is soooo good!!
